The Hartmann Cosmopor ® Silicon dressing has a thicker absorbent layer that reduces the feeling of pressure on the wound by cushioning its surface. In addition, the dressing was made using DryBarrier technology. Due to the use of the SAF superabsorbent, the wound exudate is absorbed and bound to the SAF fibers, which prevents it from returning to the wound. The materials used allow the skin to breathe and do not cause irritation. The dressing adapts perfectly to the shape of the body and is resistant to wetting.
Cosmopor ® absorbent silicone dressing is especially suitable for people with delicate and sensitive skin, including children and the elderly. It adheres tightly to the skin and, thanks to the silicone contact layer, does not stick to the wound or stitches, which allows painless removal of the used dressing. The important thing is that the dressing can be repositioned if it was applied imprecisely or if wrinkles appeared.
