Voltaren emulgel 11.6mg, 50 g, Gsk

Indications:
Post-traumatic inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints, e.g. following dislocations, sprains, contusions, etc. Localized forms of rheumatism, such as tendonitis, bursitis, shoulder-hand syndrome, periarthropathies. Localized forms of degenerative rheumatism, e.g. osteoarthritis of the peripheral joints and the spine.

Composition:
Active substance: diethylamino-diclofenac. Excipients: diethylamine, polyacrylate, cetomacrogol 1000, esters of caproic and caprylic acids, isopropyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, odorants, propylene glycol, water.

Method of administration:
Adults: Voltaren Emulgel is applied topically to the skin, 3-4 times a day, and gently massaged in. The amount used depends on the area to be treated. For example, 2-4 g of Voltaren Emulgel is sufficient to treat an area of ​​400-800 cm2. After application, hands should be washed, unless these are the areas to be treated. Children: Recommendations and indications for the use of Voltaren Emulgel in children have not yet been established.

Contraindications:
Known hypersensitivity to diclofenac, propylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol or any of the excipients. Voltaren Emulgel is also contraindicated in patients whose asthmatic, urticaria or acute rhinitis attacks are precipitated by acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Precautions:
Compared to oral administration, diclofenac administered as an ointment causes much fewer adverse reactions. However, when Voltaren Emulgel is applied to a large area and for a long time, there is a possibility of systemic adverse effects. Voltaren Emulgel should only be applied to healthy and intact skin (not to wounds or continence solutions). Contact with the conjunctiva or other mucous membranes should be avoided. Do not take orally. Potentially mutagenic, carcinogenic and toxic to the fetus: Preclinical studies have not revealed any such effect of Voltaren Emulgel. Keep out of reach of children!

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
Although no adverse effects have been observed, it is recommended to avoid treatment with Voltaren Emulgel in pregnant women. The amount of active substance that passes into milk is negligible.

Driving and using machines:
Voltaren Emulgel does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.
