Aspirin 500 mg, 20 tablets, Bayer

Aspirin contains acetylsalicylic acid.

Acetylsalicylic acid is an analgesic (reduces pain) and antipyretic (reduces fever).

Aspirin is used for the symptomatic treatment of fever and/or pain of mild to moderate intensity, such as headache, flu syndrome, toothache, muscle pain.

Administration method:

Oral administration.

Adults and adolescents (over 16 years of age): the recommended single dose is 1 dragee and can be repeated at least 4 hours apart. For more intense pain or higher fever, the recommended single dose is 2 dragees and can be repeated at an interval of at least 4 hours.

The total daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets.

For elderly patients (aged 65 and over) the recommended single dose is 1 tablet and can be repeated at least 4 hours apart, and the total daily dose should not exceed 4 tablets.

For adolescents aged between 12 and 15 years (with a body weight of 40-50 kg) the dose depends on the body weight of the adolescent, the specified age being for informational purposes only; the recommended single dose is 1 dragee and can be repeated at an interval of at least 4 hours, and the total daily dose should not exceed 6 dragees. Take the dragee(s) with a large amount of liquid.

Do not take this medicine for more than 3 days (for fever), respectively for more than 3-4 days (for pain), unless the doctor recommends it.

This medicine is administered according to the leaflet and according to the recommendations of the doctor and the pharmacist.

Precautions:

Do not use Aspirin tablets:

• if you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid or other salicylates or to any of the components of this medicine or a related medicine
• if you have gastric or intestinal ulcer (including duodenal ulcer)
• if you have a bleeding disorder or a risk of bleeding
• if you have kidney failure, liver failure or severe heart failure.

Consult your doctor before use: if you use other medicines containing acetylsalicylic acid, if you regularly use painkillers, if you have a history of ulcers or bleeding in the stomach or intestines, or inflammation of the stomach lining (gastritis), if you have liver or kidney diseases , at the level of the heart or blood circulation, if you have bronchial asthma, various allergic reactions or if you are going to undergo a surgical intervention or if you are simultaneously undergoing treatment with other medicines.

This medicine should not be administered to children and adolescents under the age of 16, without a doctor's recommendation.

In the first five months of pregnancy, you must ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine or other medicines containing acetylsalicylic acid. Starting from the sixth month of pregnancy (more than 24 weeks of amenorrhea), you should not take this medicine, because it can cause serious problems for you or your child.

If you have taken this medicine during pregnancy, contact your doctor immediately.

Do not use large doses of ASPIRIN for long periods of time without a doctor's recommendation. This medicine contains 71.7 mg of sodium in each tablet.
