Bixtonim Xylo Aroma, 10 ml, Biofarm

Bixtonim Xylo Aroma 1 mg/ml contains xylometazoline hydrochloride and belongs to the pharmacotherapeutic group of nasal decongestants for topical use, sympathomimetics.

It has the aroma of mint and eucalyptus and quickly relieves a stuffy nose, making breathing easier.

Composition:

1 ml of nasal spray, the solution contains xylometazoline hydrochloride 1 mg, benzalkonium chloride, potassium phosphate monobasic, sodium phosphate dibasic dodecahydrate, sorbitol, sodium edetate, sodium chloride, purified water.

How to use:

• Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure
• Adults and adolescents over 12 years: the usual dose is 1 spray 3 times a day in each nostril
• One spray releases 81 mcg of xylometazoline hydrochloride
• The dose is established according to the patient's sensitivity and the clinical effect, but the treatment should not last more than 5 days
• To administer, remove the protective cover. Before the first administration, it is nebulized in the air by pressing the dosing pump 2-3 times, to ensure the correct release of the doses. The pump is then ready for administration
• Before using the nasal spray, blow your nose gently. It is recommended to administer the last dose before going to bed
• To use, after removing the protective cap, insert the spray hole into the nostril and press the pump once, inhale gently through the nose
• During administration, the bottle should be kept in a vertical position, with the pump facing upwards
• Do not use the product in a horizontal or downward position
• After use, cover with the protective cover
• For hygiene reasons and to avoid infections, each spray bottle should only be used by the same person.

Do not use Bixtonim XYLO:

• If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to xylometazoline or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
• If you suffer from chronic dry inflammation of the nasal mucosa not accompanied by secretion
• If you have a history of stroke or risk factors that may favor the onset of stroke through alpha-sympathomimetic activity: treatment with vasoconstrictors, history of convulsions, utero-prostatic diseases with urinary retention, combination of direct-acting sympathomimetics
• For children under 12 years.

Warnings:

• Bixtonim Xylo is contraindicated for children under 12 years of age
• The use of Bixtonim Xylo in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or tricyclic antidepressants may cause an increase in blood pressure (due to the cardiovascular effects induced by xylometazoline)
• The simultaneous use of other nasal preparations containing sympathomimetics is not recommended.
• Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility:
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine
• Do not use Bixtonim Xylo during pregnancy and breastfeeding or if you are of childbearing age and do not use contraceptive measures.

Driving and using machines:

• Bixtonim Xylo should not affect the ability to drive or use machines
• In case of repeated and/or prolonged administration and/or high doses of Bixtonim Xylo, do not drive or use machines since the systemic absorption of the active substance cannot be excluded and may affect the ability to drive and use machines.

Bixtonim Xylo contains benzalkonium chloride.

If your doctor has warned you that you have an intolerance to some categories of carbohydrates, ask him before using this medicine.

Bixtonim Xylo Aroma 1 mg/ml contains polyethoxylated castor oil.

It may cause stomach upset and diarrhoea.

This medicine contains 10 mg of sorbitol per ml.
