What are the properties of the prebiotic soluble fiber - galactomannan?
Galactomannan is a type of polysaccharide that occurs naturally in some plants, especially legumes. In terms of chemical structure, it is a polysaccharide composed of galactose and mannose units. Galactomannan is relatively soluble in water.
FIBEgastrin sachets use galactomannan fibers obtained from the endosperm of guar legume seeds ( Cyamopsis tetragonoloba ). After ingestion, galactomannan is not digested and is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.
Guar gum is a valuable dietary fiber, meaning a necessary nutrient in a well-balanced daily diet. In addition, guar gum helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. The beneficial effect occurs when consuming 10 g of guar gum per day - this amount is provided by 2 sachets of the food supplement.
FIBEgastrin – Daily dose of fiber
FIBEgastrin added to a drink or food dissolves completely without changing its taste, smell or texture. It can be mixed with any non-carbonated drink, including water, coffee and fruit juice, or with thick products such as yogurt or soup.
FIBEgastrin sachets are a FODMAP Friendly product. This means that the formula is also suitable for people who avoid fermentable carbohydrates in their diet (oligo-di- and monosaccharides and polyols), which the body is unable to break down and absorb in the small intestine.
