Butyric acid - properties

Chemically, butyric acid is one of the short-chain fatty acids. It is a substance found naturally in the intestines, produced by the bacteria that live in the colon. It is also supplied with food in small quantities.

Ibesan butyrate is a product intended for children over 7 years old and adults. It is nutritionally incomplete. It is not suitable for use as a sole food source.

Application

Ibesan Butyrate is intended for the dietary management of intestinal diseases and disorders such as:

• diverticular disease of the large intestine;
• irritable bowel syndrome (IBS);

Recommended intake
