Sinupret syrup, 100 ml, Bionorica

Sinupret Syrup is a herbal medicine used in the treatment of acute and chronic inflammation of the mucosa of the paranasal sinuses. It is indicated for children from the age of 2, adolescents and adults.

Active substance:

Extract from gentian (root), verbena (herb), sorrel (herb), elderberry (flower), cuckoo (flower with calyx).
One ml of syrup contains: 416.8 mg extract (drug/extract ratio 1:38.5) of cut gentian root (Gentianae radix); verbena grass (Verbenae herba), cut; sorrel grass (Rumicis herba), cut; elderflowers (Sambuci flos), ground; calyx primrose flowers (Primulae flos cum calycibus), cut; (1:3:3:3:3);
The other ingredients are: liquid maltitol, cherry flavor.

Administration method:

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:

• Children aged between 2 and 5 years: 2.1 ml = 2.5 g (administered 3 times a day);
• Children aged between 6 and 11 years : 3.5 ml = 4.2 g (administered 3 times a day);
• Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over : 7.0 ml = 8.4 g (administered 3 times a day).

Take Sinupret Syrup 3 times a day (morning, lunch and evening) using the measuring device, undiluted or diluted with a little water.

• For correct dosing, use the dosing measure attached to the bottle, which has the appropriate graduations.
• If necessary, after taking the medication you can drink a little liquid (without alcohol), preferably a glass of water. Sinupret Syrup can be administered during meals, with a little liquid, or independently of meals.
• If you have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take Sinupret Syrup after meals.
• During storage, a weak sediment may form, which does not affect the quality of the medicine.
• Shake the bottle before use.
• If not prescribed otherwise, the duration of treatment is 7 - 14 days.

Contraindications:

• Do not use Sinupret Syrup if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to gentian root, verbena grass, sorrel grass, elderflowers, cuckoo flowers or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• Contact your doctor if symptoms last longer than 7-14 days, worsen or come back periodically, and/or if symptoms such as nosebleeds, persistent fever, purulent nasal discharge, or unclear symptoms occur.
• In the case of patients who have gastritis or in patients with a sensitive stomach, this medicine should be taken with great caution. It is preferable to take Sinupret Syrup after meals and with a glass of water.
• As there are no adequate data on the use of this medicine in children under 2 years of age, Sinupret Syrup should not be administered to this age group.
