Muconasal Spray 1.18 mg/ml, nasal spray, solution, Sanofi

Muconasal Spray is a nasal decongestant, used to relieve nasal congestion and facilitate breathing by shrinking the blood vessels in the nasal mucosa.

The active substance is tramazolin hydrochloride, which quickly reduces congestion of the nasal mucosa.

Important! This medicine is intended for use in adults and children over 6 years of age.

Forms of release

Muconasal Spray is available as a nasal solution, each ml containing 1.18 mg tramazoline hydrochloride. The bottle contains 10 ml of solution.

Active substance: tramazolin hydrochloride 1.18 mg/ml.

Other components: citric acid monohydrate, sodium hydroxide, benzalkonium chloride, hypromellose, cineole, levomenthol, racemic camphor, purified water and others.

BENEFITS

Muconasal Spray is used for:

Relief of nasal congestion associated with colds or allergic rhinitis;

Facilitating the drainage of secretions in the case of sinusitis and otitis media, on the recommendation of the doctor.

The decongestant effect occurs in about 5 minutes and lasts up to 10 hours.

Indications for use

Muconasal Spray is used for the treatment of nasal congestion in adults and children over 6 years of age. It can also be used to facilitate drainage of secretions in sinusitis and otitis media, upon doctor's recommendation.

Dosage regimen

The recommended dose is one puff in each nostril 2-4 times a day. Do not use for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor.

Important! Do not exceed the maximum recommended dose of 4 puffs per day.

Contraindications

Do not use Muconasal Spray if you have:

Allergy to tramazoline hydrochloride or other components of the drug;

Rhinitis sicca (inflammation of the nasal mucosa with secretions);

Recent head surgery through the nasal passages.

Particularities of use

Consult your doctor before use if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, hyperthyroidism, or use other medications such as antidepressants or vasopressors.

Important! Do not use Muconasal Spray for more than 7 consecutive days without medical consultation.

Side effects

Muconasal Spray can cause the following side effects:

Nasal discomfort or burning sensation, dryness of the mucous membrane;

Nausea, headache, dizziness;

Allergic reactions (rash, itching, edema).

If you experience serious side effects, discontinue use and consult your doctor.

Interactions with other drugs

Muconasal Spray may interact with antidepressants or blood pressure medications. Consult your doctor before use if you are taking these medications.

overdose

In case of overdose, nausea, dizziness, insomnia or increased blood pressure may occur. In case of overdose or accidental ingestion, contact a doctor immediately.

Storage conditions

Keep Muconasal Spray in a dry place, at temperatures below 25°C, out of the reach of children.
