Indications:
Afrin nasal spray, solution contains the active substance oxymetazoline hydrochloride.
Afrin is a decongestant, which relieves nasal congestion by constricting the blood vessels in the nose. It works in minutes and lasts for hours.
Afrin is used to relieve the symptoms of nasal congestion caused by allergic rhinitis, colds and sinusitis. It can be administered every 12 hours.

Contraindications:
Do not use Afrin:
- if you are allergic to oxymetazoline hydrochloride or any of the other components of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Afrin, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
Task:
Oxymetazoline has not been associated with adverse effects on the fetus. Afrin can be used in pregnant women if administered as recommended. Caution is recommended in patients with high blood pressure or signs of decreased blood circulation in the placenta. Frequent or prolonged use of high doses may decrease blood circulation to the placenta.
Breastfeeding:
It is not known whether oxymetazoline passes into breast milk. In the absence of data on the use of oxymetazoline during breastfeeding, Afrin should not be used during breastfeeding.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
No effects on the ability to drive or use machines have been observed.

Administration method:
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Doses :
Adults, children and adolescents aged > 10 years: 1-2 sprays in each nostril, every 12 hours.
Children aged 6 to 10 years: 1 spray in each nostril, every 12 hours.

It is not recommended to administer more than 8 sprays in adults (4 sprays in children) within 24 hours.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Shake vigorously before use. Before the first administration, prime the bottle by pressing the pump several times until the first full spray is released.
While holding the bottle upright, insert the spray pump into each nostril one at a time and press firmly 1-2 times while inhaling.
Clean the pump after use. Use of this medicine by more than one person may cause the infection to spread.
