Clotrimazole spray 10 mg/ml, 20 ml, Rompharm

Indications:
Clotrimazole Rompharm is used to treat fungal infections of the skin of the feet (athlete's foot or Tinea pedis), between the fingers or toes, around the nails, on the skin of the body (Tinea cruris, Tinea corporis), as well as in cases of superficial candidiasis of the skin and pityriasis versicolor. It is indicated in adults, the elderly, adolescents and children over 5 years of age.

Composition
The active substance is clotrimazole. One milliliter of solution contains 10 mg clotrimazole.
The other ingredients are: macrogol 300, propylene glycol (E 1520), isopropyl alcohol.

Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Wash and dry the affected skin area and surrounding areas, then wash your hands.
When using the medicine for the first time, spray it into the air by pressing the dosing pump 2-3 times. This will prepare the pump for administration.
Apply the solution from a distance of 5-10 cm to the affected area and the immediate surrounding area. Apply enough solution to the affected area and the surrounding area. Wash your hands after touching the infected skin area so as not to spread the infection to other areas or transmit the infection to someone else. After application, the affected area should not be covered with a dressing unless recommended by a doctor.
Adults (including the elderly), adolescents and children over 5 years of age: unless your doctor recommends otherwise, apply Clotrimazole Rompharm 2-3 times a day and gently massage the affected area until the solution is absorbed into the skin.
The duration of treatment in which healing is achieved is:
- up to 3 weeks for pityriasis versicolor;
- up to 3 weeks for interdigital infections (infections between the toes, such as Tinea pedis);
- up to 4 weeks for other types of skin infections.
After the symptoms disappear, treatment should be continued for another 2 weeks.
The maximum duration of treatment is 4 weeks.

Contraindications:
Do not use Clotrimazole Rompharm if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients of Clotrimazole Rompharm.
- in children under 5 years of age.

Precautions:
You should not apply Clotrimazole Rompharm to open wounds or mucous membranes. You should not apply Clotrimazole Rompharm to the eyes, nose or mouth. If the solution accidentally comes into contact with the eyes, wash the affected area with plenty of clean water.
Please consult your doctor if you have a fungal infection of the nail and under the nail, called onychomycosis, which causes changes in the color and structure of the nails (thickened, brittle nails). Clotrimazole Rompharm is not indicated for the treatment of these infections. In this case, your doctor will recommend another treatment.
If irritation at the application site or allergic reactions (rash, facial swelling, difficulty breathing, itching, fever) occur during treatment with Clotrimazole Rompharm, treatment should be discontinued and you should see a doctor.
Do not apply other medications to the treated areas.
The simultaneous use of clotrimazole and certain antibiotics (amphotericin, nystatin, natamycin) may reduce their effect. In this case, ask your doctor or pharmacist before administering Clotrimazole Rompharm.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
Do not use Clotrimazole Rompharm during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless recommended by your doctor.

Driving and using machines:
Clotrimazole Rompharm has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
