Coldrex Max Cold and Cough contains the following active substances:
• Paracetamol, which is a pain reliever (analgesic) effective against pain, including headaches and sore throats, and also helps to reduce temperature when you have a fever (antipyretic).
• Guaifenesin, which is an expectorant, which helps to release mucus (phlegm) when you have a productive cough.
• Phenylephrine hydrochloride, which is a decongestant, which reduces swelling in the nasal passages, helping you to breathe more easily.
This medicine is used for short-term relief of cold and flu symptoms, including mild to moderate aches, headache, stuffy nose and sore throat, chills, and fever, and to relieve productive cough. You should only use Coldrex Max Cold and Cough if you have a combination of cold and flu symptoms such as pain and/or fever, stuffy nose and productive cough.

This medicine can be used by adults, the elderly and adolescents aged 16 years and over.

You should see your doctor if symptoms persist for more than 3 days, if they get worse, or if other symptoms appear.

Do not take Coldrex Max Cold and Cough if:
- you are allergic to paracetamol, guaifenesin, phenylephrine hydrochloride or any of the other components of this medicine.

Before taking Coldrex Max Cold and Cough, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
Task:
If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, do not take this medicine.
If you are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Based on human experience, phenylephrine hydrochloride causes birth defects when administered during pregnancy.
Breastfeeding:
This medicine should not be used during breastfeeding without a doctor's recommendation.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
This medicine may cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel dizzy after taking this medicine.

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Adults and adolescents aged 16 years and over, weighing 50 kg and over:
The recommended dose is 2 capsules every 4 to 6 hours, according to the recommendations up to a maximum of 3 doses in 24 hours. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Do not take more than 6 capsules (3g of paracetamol) in a 24-hour period.

Coldrex Max Cold and Cough should not be used in adults, the elderly and adolescents aged 16 years and over who weigh less than 50 kg.

Do not take more than 4 capsules a day in the following situations, unless your doctor recommends it:
- Chronic alcoholism
- Dehydration
- Malnutrition

Use in elderly patients and those with liver or kidney disease:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you are elderly or have liver or kidney disease, as you may need a lower dose or less frequent dosing.

Use in children and adolescents:
Do not administer to children and adolescents under 16 years of age.

For oral administration.

Swallow the capsules whole with water. Do not chew.

You should talk to a doctor if symptoms persist for more than 3 days, get worse or other symptoms appear.

- Each capsule contains the active substances: paracetamol (500 mg), guaifenesin (100 mg) and phenylephrine hydrochloride (6.1 mg, which corresponds to 5 mg phenylephrine base).
- The other components are: corn starch, croscarmellose sodium, sodium lauryl sulfate, magnesium stearate, talc; gelatin capsule: gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate, quinoline yellow (E 104), indigotine (E 132), erythrosine (E 127), titanium dioxide (E 171), purified water.
