Description
Dicarbocalm with blackcurrant flavor, 351.9 mg/400 mg oral suspension, 20 sachets, Sanofi
Indications :
Dicarbocalm with blackcurrant flavor is a drug from the antacid group. The active substances contained in the oral suspension neutralize gastric acidity, relieving the symptoms caused by hyperacidity.
It is indicated for the relief of the burning sensation or pain that occurs in the diseases of the digestive tract (esophagus, stomach, duodenum) that evolve with hyperacidity.
If after 7 days you do not feel better or if you feel worse, you should see a doctor.
Contraindications:
Do not use Dicarbocalm with blackcurrant flavor:
- if you are allergic to aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide or any of the other components of this medicine.
Precautions:
Before using Dicarbocalm with blackcurrant flavor, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Task:
Due to the absorption of aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide into the blood, Dicarbocalm with blackcurrant flavor should not be used during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. It is recommended to avoid long-term administration and high doses.
Aluminum salts can cause constipation that can worsen the constipation characteristic of pregnancy; they can also cause, at high doses, a decrease in phosphorus in the blood.
The absorption of aluminum should be considered minimal if the recommended doses are respected, but if the doses are not respected and especially in the case of renal failure of the pregnant woman, there is a risk of aluminum poisoning of the fetus and the newborn.
Magnesium salts can cause diarrhea; at high doses or in case of prolonged treatment there is a risk of hypermagnesemia (increased level of magnesium in the blood).
Breastfeeding:
Breastfeeding is not contraindicated during treatment with Dicarbocalm with blackcurrant flavor.
Driving vehicles and using machines:
Dicarbocalm with blackcurrant flavor has no influence on the ability to drive vehicles or use machines.
