Paracetamol 500 mg, 20 tablets, Antibiotice SA

Paracetamol 500 mg belongs to the class of drugs known as analgesics and antipyretics.

Paracetamol 500 mg relieves mild to moderate pain and reduces fever.

Composition:

• The active ingredient is paracetamol
• Each tablet contains paracetamol 500 mg
• The other ingredients are: corn starch, povidone K29-32, talc, and magnesium stearate.

How to use: 

• Paracetamol 500 mg is administered orally
• Paracetamol 500 mg can be administered regardless of mealtime
• The medicine should not be administered at intervals of less than 4 hours
• Adults and adolescents over 15 years of age: The initial dose is 1-2 tablets of Paracetamol 500 mg
• If necessary, the dose can be repeated, maintaining an interval of 4-6 hours between administrations
• The maximum permitted dose is 8 tablets (4 g of paracetamol) per day
• Children 12-15 years (41-50 kg): The recommended dose is one 500 mg tablet, repeated as needed every 4-6 hours, without exceeding 3 g per day (6 tablets)
• Children 8-12 years (27-40 kg): The recommended dose is one 500 mg tablet, repeated as needed every 4-6 hours, without exceeding 3 g per day. 2 g daily (4 tablets)
• Children 6-8 years (17-26 kg): 250 mg, repeated as needed 4 times daily, not to exceed 1 g daily (2 tablets)
• Children under 6 years: It is recommended to use an age-appropriate dosage form.

Warnings:

Do not take Paracetamol 500 mg if

• You are allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients of the medicine (listed in section 6)
• You suffer from severe liver disease; - suffer from glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
• Take other medications while taking paracetamol; check for paracetamol in their composition to avoid overdose
• Have liver disease, including viral hepatitis (increases the risk of hepatotoxicity), or severe kidney disease (in this case, only occasional treatment is acceptable)
• Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the blister or carton after "EXP"
• The expiry date refers to the last day of the respective month
• Store below 25°C, in the original packaging.
