Paracetamol MCC 125 mg suppositories for children, 10 pieces, Magistra

Analgesic, antipyretic indicated in the symptomatic treatment of febrile conditions and mild and moderate pain in children.

Active substance:

125 mg paracetamol.

Administration method:

• The usual dose is 60 mg paracetamol/kg per day distributed in 4 doses, administered every 4-6 hours.
• Do not exceed the dose of 80 mg paracetamol/kg per day.
• For children weighing between 5-14 kg (2 months - 3 years), the recommended dose is one suppository Paracetamol MCC 125 mg; if necessary, the dose can be repeated after 4-6 hours without exceeding 3-4 suppositories of 125 mg per day (depending on weight).

In case of renal insufficiency, with creatinine clearance less than 10 ml/min, the interval between two doses must be at least 8 hours.
If, under treatment with paracetamol, the pain does not reduce in 5 days, the fever does not subside or reappears in 3 days, or severe pharyngitis persists and does not improve in at most 2 days (being accompanied or followed by 2 fever, headache, rashes skin, nausea and vomiting), the diagnosis and treatment must be re-evaluated.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to paracetamol or semisynthetic glycerides.
• Hepatocellular insufficiency.
• Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.

Adverse effects:

Allergic reactions, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis, dermatitis, hepatitis, colic or renal failure.
