Ibuprofen STADA 200 mg is used in adults, adolescents and children weighing 20 kg or more (aged 6 years and over) to treat:

• mild to moderate pain
• fevers

Dosage and dosing schedules

The dosage for children and adolescents depends on body weight and age - usually 7-10 mg/kg body weight as a single dose up to a maximum of 30 mg/kg body weight as a total daily dose. The dosing interval should not be shorter than 6 hours.

• 20 kg to 29 kg (children: 6 to 9 years): single dose: 200 mg ibuprofen, maximum daily dose: 600 mg (200 mg 3 times a day)
• 30 kg to 39 kg (children: 10 to 11 years): single dose: 200 mg ibuprofen, maximum daily dose: 800 mg (200 mg 4 times a day)
• ≥ 40 kg (adolescents from 12 years of age and adults): single dose: 200-400 mg ibuprofen, maximum daily dose: 1,200 mg ibuprofen

Duration of treatment: The medicine is intended for short-term use. Children and adolescents: if the medicine needs to be taken for more than 3 days or if the symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted. Adults: if the medicine needs to be taken for more than 3 days in case of fever or for more than 4 days in case of pain, or if the symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted.

How to use

The drug is contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy. During the first and second trimesters, the drug must not be administered unless clearly necessary.
