Ibuprofen STADA 400 mg is used in adults and adolescents weighing 40 kg or more (aged 12 years and over) to treat:

• Mild to moderate pain
• Fevers

Dosage and dosing schedules

Patients weighing ≥ 40 kg (adolescents from 12 years of age and adults): single dose: 200-400 mg ibuprofen, maximum daily dose: 1,200 mg ibuprofen.

The dosing interval should not be shorter than 6 hours.

Duration of treatment: The medicine is intended for short-term use.

Children and adolescents: if the medicine needs to be taken for more than 3 days or if symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted.

Adults: If this medicine needs to be taken for more than 3 days in case of fever or more than 4 days in case of pain treatment, or if symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted.

How to use

The oral powder does not need to be taken with liquid; the powder is dissolved on the tongue and swallowed with saliva. This medicine can be used in situations where no liquids are available. Patients with sensitive stomachs are advised to take the medicine with food.

Warning

The drug is contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy. During the first and second trimesters, the drug must not be administered unless clearly necessary. During breastfeeding, the drug can only be used for short-term treatment of pain or fever. The drug is contraindicated in children under 40 kg body weight or under 12 years of age due to the high content of the active substance. The drug is contraindicated in patients with severe liver failure, severe renal failure, severe heart failure, severe dehydration. COX inhibitors may cause a decrease in female fertility by affecting ovulation (reversible, disappears after discontinuation of treatment).
