CarboMax
Description CarboMax
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.at team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
CarboMax is a functional blend of easily digestible carbohydrates, designed to provide a rapid and effective source of energy during prolonged physical exertion, enriched with a complete complex of 13 essential vitamins to support energy metabolism, immune function and neuropsychological balance. Its formula is based on maltodextrin, a rapidly absorbed glucose polymer, often used in sports nutrition due to its ability to rapidly increase blood glucose levels and contribute to the restoration of muscle and liver glycogen stores.
Forms of release
CarboMax ActivLab is available as an instant powder to be dissolved in water. The product is available in various flavours (orange, lemon, blackcurrant, etc.), containing a sweetener (sucralose) and natural or nature-identical flavourings.
The powder form allows the dosage to be adjusted to suit individual needs and makes it easy to take during workouts using a shaker.
Directions for use
CarboMax is particularly recommended for:
- people who practise strength or endurance sports;
- athletes involved in high-intensity training;
- people who need rapid replenishment of glycogen stores;
- situations involving prolonged physical exertion associated with energy depletion;
- post-workout recovery periods, to reduce muscle catabolism.
As glycogen stores are limited and are rapidly depleted during intense exercise, exogenous supplementation becomes important for maintaining performance and preventing a decline in exercise capacity.
Dosage regimen
The recommended dose is 1–2 servings per day. Dissolve a 30 g serving (approximately one tablespoon) in 200 ml of water, using a shaker to achieve a smooth mixture.
It is usually recommended to take the product:
- before training, to ensure immediate energy availability;
- after training, for rapid recovery of glycogen stores and a reduction in muscle catabolism.
A daily serving of 60 g (dissolved in 400 ml of water) provides approximately 224 kcal and 56 g of carbohydrates. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Contraindications
CarboMax is contraindicated for people with hypersensitivity to any of the product’s ingredients. Caution is advised for people with:
- diabetes mellitus or glucose intolerance;
- uncontrolled metabolic syndrome;
- impaired glucose regulation;
- allergy to food colourings.
The product is not intended for young children and should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet.
Special instructions for use
Taking the product during training is intended to provide a constant source of energy and prevent a drop in performance. Post-workout intake, on the other hand, aims to replenish glycogen and limit the breakdown of muscle protein.
CarboMax contains colourings that may have an adverse effect on children’s activity and attention, which is why its use in children is not recommended.
Side effects
In general, CarboMax is well tolerated. However, excessive intake may cause:
- gastrointestinal disturbances (bloating, flatulence);
- rapid rises in blood sugar levels;
- nausea or a feeling of fullness.
Allergic reactions to colourings or other ingredients are rare but possible.
Interactions with other medicines and food
CarboMax may affect the need for insulin or hypoglycaemic drugs in diabetic patients.
Concomitant use with other energy supplements or carbohydrate-rich products should be adjusted to avoid excessive calorie intake.
No significant interactions with other medicines have been reported, but people undergoing long-term treatment should consult their doctor before use.
Overdose
Exceeding the recommended dose may cause transient hyperglycaemia, digestive disturbances and excessive calorie intake, with a potential impact on body composition.
In the event of accidental ingestion of very large quantities, it is recommended to monitor symptoms and ensure adequate hydration.
Storage conditions
The product should be stored in a dry place, at temperatures below 25 °C, protected from light and moisture, in the original, tightly closed packaging.
Keep out of the reach and sight of young children.
